Our Girls Rock!!

Man, what an amazing service yesterday! Our girls are awesome. God has given them some incredible voices and I'm just happy He's loaned them to us for a while. Jason brought it and was seriously steppin' on some toes. Good stuff to hear. And for those of you who don't have a student in youth, there are some great things happening in that group. You should be very proud of your DC Students.

I'll post the song list from yesterday for those of your who add them to your iPod's.

  • You'll Come (Hillsong United)
  • Hosanna (Hillsong United)
  • Lead Me to the Cross (Hillsong United, starting to notice a trend here)
  • Hungry (Kathryn Scott . . . threw you a curveball there huh? j/k)
  • Till I See You (Hillsong)
  • Sing to the King (Candi Pearson)

By the way, Cabbage is going to be awesome. Coming in November. You'll have to stay tuned!

Good week

Hey everybody. Sitting here on a beautiful Friday here in Eastern NC. Looking forward to an awesome night at the Hansen's for poker night!! Bragging rights on the line (and that's all that's on the line) and I've got a reputation to uphold. (Yeah right) Blogging has kinda taken a back seat this week and I'm different (ask Jason). One of those tough weeks that are hard to go through but you know that good things are going to come from it. Just affirmation that God will get His glory.

In the meantime, for all of you who may need a pick-me-up, here's a tasty link that I'm sure you will enjoy as much as I have. In rough times, this simple little song reminds me of so much. (just scroll to the bottom of Brad's post and you'll find the video)

New Office Pics

Here is a poor pic of my new office. I took it on my phone so you'll have to pardon the poor quality.

I am really grateful to the Hansen's for letting my use part of their home. They've got me sitting up like a king.

BTW, great day at church on Sunday. Had an awesome time and the Lord's Supper was great. Love spending time with my church family. Auditions for the band are tomorrow at the BCM from 5:00 to 7:00. Pray for that if you don't mind. I'm more nervous than any of the peopl trying out, I promise you that. Love that people are wanting to come and share their talents in service to the king though. Love you guys but God loves you more.

My new haircut...

As pointed out on my wife's blog, Laci just did her first ever haircut...and it was on me. And you know what, she did a great job. You can see all the pics here.

Getting ready for Sunday. Doing some last minute things here to be ready for a great service and Lord's Supper. BTW, had a great turn out for the band meeting last Sunday so thank you for everybody who came.

I need to get better about this so you guys please keep me accountable, but here are the songs for this Sunday.

Holy is the Lord (Chris Tomlin)
Enough (Chris Tomlin)
Wonderful Maker (Chris Tomlin)
It is Well (Horatio Spafford and Philip Bliss)

Going to be a Sabbath Day tomorrow. I'm really excited about it and the Lord's Supper. Love you guys but God loves you more.

Tuesday Staff Meeting

So, we just got done with the most productive brainstorming session since I've been on staff and what was it about?? . . . . . . . . . Cabbage. That's right, cabbage. Can't tell you what all we came up with or where we're going with it but you're gonna love it, I hope. LoL. Love you guys. Will post more tomorrow to catch you up over the week.
